TOLD SO, IT SEEMS THAT WE ARE TWO NEW CHARACTERS IN ANOTHER SCENARIO OF THE “STAR WARS” SAGA. BUT NO, OUR STORY IS A REAL STORY.

We did not come from Paris, nor were we transported by a stork, we were assembled in 2004 at Gamesa Eólica’s nacelle plant. When the final assembly inspection finished we already knew who our client, EBDWINDPARK, would be in Germany. From there they took us by road in a huge truck
Blender, Verden, Lower Saxony. Germany..
Our location, the Blender II park in Germany, was preparing to receive us along with five other Gamesa G80 wind turbines. We were installed, commissioned and maintained by Bornmann Windkrafttechnik GmbH.
Nacelle 6367 in Blender II tower 3 and Nacelle 6708 Blender II tower 4, with a blade diameter of 80 meters and a tower height of 60 meters, so we had a total height of 100 meters.
After more than 10 years working at full capacity in the generation of wind energy, in 2017, the company that owns the wind farm, took advantage of an aid plan from the German Government for the repowering of wind farms with more than 10 years old. Of the 7 Gamesa G80 wind turbines that we were in Blender II, only two are still working, the other 5 were dismantled.
During these 10 years, we have been producing more than 150,000 hours, together we have generated more than 58,000 MW / h, which means that we have avoided the emission of almost 22,300 tons (when our total weight is 200 tons each) of CO2 between both and we were able to provide electricity for 4,000 homes.
But it seems that this was not going to be our final destination; we had another trip.
Conapro SL and Grupo Inerzia were not like the other companies, they had a different idea from the rest. They believed in a new concept of theoretical and practical training in Wind Turbines: Ventum Academy.
So we left from Blender II to Pamplona.
For the first time in history, we, two nacelles that had been fully operational in a German wind farm, were going to be the fundamental part of a pioneering initiative: to offer practical training from ourselves.
Now we are a code, we have our own entity.
This is a part of our story, the rest we want to write with you.
