At Ventum Academy, we start the year with educational innovations, conducting training in collaboration with SiG Coop. based on “Playful and immersive learning about early detection of machine failures” through gamification methodologies emulating what would be an escape room in the environment of a wind turbine.
In line with the trend of “gamification,” Ventum Academy is proud to present a groundbreaking educational experience that takes participants directly into a real and energized environment in a wind turbine. Equipped with the most advanced personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by CONAPRO, participants immerse themselves in an almost real scenario, filled with tools, sounds, and images that challenge their technical and emotional skills to solve problems.
Under the constant direction of Víctor Baquero, General Manager of Grupo Inerzia and Technical Director at Ventum Academy, participants, grouped in teams of 8 people, face the challenge proposed by Xabier Barón, Operations Manager of SiG Coop., working against the clock to achieve success within the assigned time.
This experience goes beyond mere simulation as it uses real client work procedures, comprehensively addressing safety and environmental aspects. “The experience is complete and unique,” declares Víctor Baquero.
Time pressure, the diversity of problems, and the variety of technical profiles highlight not only knowledge but also soft skills such as collaboration, adaptability, communication, and creativity.
After the exercise, a joint analysis of relevant aspects is carried out, highlighting what has worked, the learnings obtained, and the significance of the experience.
To date, 30 people have participated in this training, all of them leaving highly satisfied and enthusiastic, with valuable learning to face real challenges in the workplace, underscoring the transformative impact of this experience on work teams and wind sector training.
Xabier Barón, partner and co-founder of SiG Coop., highlights the uniqueness of this training, which takes advantage of Ventum’s unique facilities. “It is truly unique in the world,” affirms Barón.
This experience guarantees a deep connection between the rational and the emotional, turning four hours of training into a captivating experience that will leave participants motivated and energized, regardless of the outcome.
